Mac Pro RAID Card


Apple quietly added a ridiculously expensive $1000 hardware RAID card to the Mac Pro expansion page today, but it looks like no other card currently available that I know of.

The footnotes say that it’s only supported by Mac OS X. Could this be something that’s only available through Apple, or has anyone seen this thing elsewhere? And, I wonder if it truly only works with OS X (and not Windows under Boot Camp), or only with Mac Pro hardware.
